Kaylen Alexis, Class of 2019

Carrboro, NC

German Studies Major (and potential Political Science Major)

Born in Toronto, Ontario, my sports allegiances lie to the north. However, I’ve lived most of my life in the small, west-coast-esque town of Carrboro, North Carolina, and it didn’t take long for me to become a die-hard Tar Heels fan. I acknowledge that opening a bio with information on sports fandom is not common practice, but it’s such an integral part of who I am that there really was no other way. On the academic note, I’m enjoying my studies at Davidson, so much so that I’m running away to Berlin for my junior year. I’m quite excited at the prospect of becoming culturally and linguistically fluent in German! When I’m on campus, the highlight of my day/week/semester is DUFF (Davidson Ultimate Frisbee). The team is poised to make its second Nationals appearance in school history this year (humblebrag). A few more fun facts about me: my high school graduating class had 5 people in it, and I love playing piano, guitar and ping-pong!
