William Malloy
Political Science Major (with a potential economics minor)
I spent the first half of my life in the Berkshires in western Massachusetts, and have since lived in a small town outside of Boston. I went to the Belmont Hill School, an all-boys school, for most of high school. I have a twin sister at Lafayette, a brother at Middlebury, and I am the first of my entire extended family to spend any significant time in the South. I appreciate the privilege of studying a diverse array of topics at Davidson, but I am particularly interested in international politics, and the interconnectedness of economics and politics. I enjoy the outdoors, woodworking, fishing, canoeing, traveling, and meeting new people. At Davidson I am a member of Hillel, Bee Club, Campus As Lab, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, and Habitat for Humanity. This study trip to Vienna is the first academic trip I have taken in my life, and I am very excited for the opportunity to learn alongside peers and professionals in this setting.
